Maj. Gen. John Basilica Jr. has joined HNTB’s Central Division as vice president and program director in the Baton Rouge office. He is responsible for the profitable operation of multiple complex projects.
Sarah Crawford is now in charge of public relations for the East Baton Rouge Parish Library. The Luling native is a former features writer for the The News-Star in Monroe.
John Donahue III has been named chief executive officer of DonahueFavret Contractors in addition to his role as president. Donahue began his career at DonahueFavret in 1990 as a project manager/estimator, and became president in 2007. Jack Donahue remains chairman of the board of the company.
J. Kelly Duncan has been elected vice president of International Masters of Gaming Law, a nonprofit gaming law association. Duncan represents a variety of firms in the gaming industry.
Rosa Dunn of Hammond is the new chairman of the board of Friends of Louisiana Public Broadcasting, which raises money for programming. Dunn has served as the host of KSLU’s radio talk show Point of View since 1988.
Rodrick “Rod” T. Miller, former Greater Phoenix Economic Council vice president of international economic development, has joined the Baton Rouge Area Chamber as executive vice president. In his new position, Miller will directly assist BRAC’s CEO on internal management, as well as support its next capital campaign and other special projects of the organization.
Matthew T. Faust of Covington joined First Community Bank of Hammond as president. Faust comes to First Community with nearly 20 years of banking experience in St. Tammany and Washington parishes, most recently as chief executive officer/president/senior lender of Statewide Bank.
Gary Gutierrez has been appointed president of the Lodging Division of HRI Properties. Gutierrez—a 25-year lodging industry veteran—previously was vice president of operations for Highgate Hotels in Dallas.
Kate Gutierrez is the new senior vice president/risk management officer at Fidelity Homestead Savings Bank. She has more than 20 years of banking experience and most recently worked at First Tennessee Bank.
Jena J. Hamilton is the new business development officer for Omni Bank. The Kentucky native previously managed the sales and service effort for a $56 million banking center, National City Bank.
John Hawie is the new senior vice president and chief investment officer of the Louisiana Workers’ Compensation Corp. He previously held those positions at the Commerce Group in Webster, Mass., where he oversaw $2.5 billion in fixed income and equity investments.
Chris Henry is the new director of information technology at Bollinger Shipyards. Henry has 22 years of IT experience in the oil and gas and energy sectors.
Richard Juge of New Orleans was elected president of the CCIM Institute, an international commercial real estate organization with 16,000 members worldwide. Juge is president of RE/MAX Commercial Brokers Inc., which has offices in Metairie and Mandeville.
Angel Lewis is the new vice president and sales manager of retail banking for Omni Bank. Lewis was previously a Baton Rouge sales manager and senior banker of Internet sales for Capital One Bank.
Douglas C. Longman Jr. has joined Jones Walker’s Lafayette office as a partner in the Business & Commercial Litigation Practice Group. Longman previously was a partner in Longman Russo.
Michael Wack has been named Lafayette market president for Capital One Bank. He previously headed commercial banking for the Louisiana region that includes Lafayette, Lake Charles, Alexandria, Monroe and Beaumont, Texas.
