He co-founded the company in June 1997 after having worked for the original Hornbeck Offshore Services Inc., from 1991 to 1996, serving in various positions relating to business strategy and development. Under his leadership, the firm expanded from a small private company to a large, global provider of technologically advanced offshore service vessels. He serves on the board of directors of both the National Ocean Industries Association and the Offshore Marine Service Association, and he is a member of the International Support Vessel Owners’ Association.
